My client is growing rapidly to meet the worldwide demand for energy storage and are introducing an additional team to their Manufacturing facility in Bathgate.

Job Summary
To assist the manufacturing team in the assembly of components and final products in accordance with company drawings/specifications and ensuring products performance and quality requirements are met.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products using instructions and companywide procedures.
- Undertake duties in line with all Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
- Inspection of components and materials used within the assembly process.
- Testing of finished products in accordance with instructions/procedures.
- Operation of assembly Test/Process equipment (Factory Acceptance Tester, 100 tonne press)
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units.
- Check output to ensure highest quality.
- Maintain equipment in good condition.
- Keep records of production quantities and Lot numbers
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts.
- Using hand tools/soldering iron.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly line environment
- Mechanical aptitude and an ability to learn and adapt to new tasks
- Previous experience of inline inspection of components/subassemblies
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to work across multiple areas of the production process
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work on own initiative when necessary
- Able to work in a safe manner
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions and work to standards
- An eye for detail
- Ability to learn quickly
- Good Manual dexterity
- Consistently manage the task
- Understanding of production costs to include impact cost of poor quality, waste, downtime, scrap and re-work
