Our client a leading packaging and print Manufacturer are looking for an experienced production supervisor for the Belfast operations . Job: The Production Supervisor will oversee the labour of individuals in a high output, hands-on, manufacturing environment. They will organise and monitor workflow on the production floor. They ensure production floor is clean and safe for all staff members. Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm Friday 7am to 12pm Overtime as and when required Additional Criteria: Mechanical experience and knowledge Forklift certified Interest and aptitude in high volume, hi-tech machinery Willing to work overtime as and when required by business needs Production Supervisor Job Duties: Develops and implements production policies and procedures Delegates manufacturing tasks so that team can meet production deadlines Manages the efforts of manufacturing workers on the production floor Communicates expectations to production workers and appraises their performance Educates production team members about preferred occupational health and safety practices Establishes priorities to ensure manufacturing team works most efficiently Checks manufacturing equipment and control points to ensure efficient workflow is maintained Addresses production problems as they arise Organises for the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment Evaluates new production equipment Reports on team performance to production manager Makes recommendations about ways to improve employee efficiency and reduce costs Recruits, hires, and trains new production workers to perform their duties Counsels and disciplines production employees who fail to perform or violate company policies Implements recommended manufacturing cost reduction strategies Essential criteria Minimum 1 years Supervisory experience Minimum 3 years Mechanical maintenance experience For more information please contact Joe on Skills: Supervisory Skills Mechanical Engineering Production Planning Printing
