The Role:

We are seeking a visionary Head of AI to lead the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions that will transform our operations and customer offerings. This role involves spearheading projects such as the creation of vectorized databases for advanced semantic search capabilities and developing AI tools to optimize internal processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with strategic partners to integrate cutting-edge technologies into our service portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic AI Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with Consumables Solutions' business objectives and growth plans.
  • Innovative Solution Development: Lead the design and deployment of AI tools to enhance operational efficiency, including advanced semantic search functionalities utilizing vectorized databases.
  • Process Optimization: Implement AI-driven solutions to streamline internal operations, improve procurement processes, and reduce client downtime.
  • Partnership Integration: Collaborate with strategic partners to incorporate innovative technologies into our offerings, ensuring seamless integration and added value for clients.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing AI team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Research and Development: Stay abreast of emerging AI trends and technologies, applying insights to drive continuous innovation within the company.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in AI/ML with a strong background in developing and deploying scalable solutions. Familiarity with vectorized databases and semantic search technologies is highly desirable.
  • Innovative Mindset: Ability to conceptualize and implement AI solutions that drive business transformation and operational efficiency.
  • Leadership Acumen: Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Practical approach to addressing business challenges through AI-driven solutions.
  • Preferred Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Knowledge of database optimization and TinyML is advantageous.

Salary guide

  • £60,000 to £70,000 per annum
