Job: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: AccringtonSalary: £43,050Holidays: 33 days a yearShifts: Monday - Friday Double Days (6-2 / 2/10)You will be required to work 1 in every 6 weekends with the following Monday and Tuesday off as rest days - Saturday 6:00am - 2:00pm and Sunday 7:00am - 3:00pm Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Accrington? Ideally Engineers will have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as food or FMCG and will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Daily Duties:Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems across the siteQuickly find and fix faults to reduce production downtimeWork with the engineering team to improve machine performance and reliabilityAlways follow health, safety, and food safety standardsKeep accurate records of all maintenance workAssist with projects, installations, and equipment upgrades when neededPromote teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement Ideal Candidate:City & Guilds Level 2 or ONC qualification - ideally apprentice trainedExperience in FMCG or food manufacturingKnowledge of pressure systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives with strong fault-finding skillsWorks well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Please send your updated CV to the advert now
