Overview
The Senior Consultant- Digital Forensics & Expert Services role conducts and assists in data preservation and digital investigations in complex litigation cases by leveraging knowledge of digital forensic tools, technology and protocols related to the collection and management of electronically stored information (ESI) from a wide variety of data sources.


Responsibilities

  1. Perform tasks related to the forensic examination of ESI under supervision of a Manager.
  2. Conduct testing and research for new workflows and methodologies.
  3. Confidently perform remote and onsite collections in a defensible manner.
  4. Attend Consilio forensic lab to leverage infrastructure/job requirements, as needed.
  5. Travel to onsite locations (regional and international) with a team or independently to perform data collections.
  6. Leverage experience with forensic tools, including Encase, FEC, FTK, Axiom, Oxygen and Cellebrite to carry out forensic investigations.
  7. Follow Digital Forensic good practice methodologies (ISO17025 standard and ACPO Principles of Digital Evidence) in all aspects of the forensic and eDiscovery workflow.
  8. Display competence in delivery of complex technical information to non-technical clients.
  9. Demonstrate working knowledge and understanding of evidence management.
  10. Display high degree of comfort operating in a client-facing environment and meeting the needs of clients.
  11. Ability to work independently on-site on small to medium sized engagements.
  12. Ability to be responsive to internal and external communications.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in forensic computing or equivalent relevant experience.
  2. 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in related forensic and consulting roles.

Other Requirements:

  1. Excellent corporate communication skills - both written and verbal.
  2. Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative team environment.
  3. Good understanding of computer networking in corporate environments.
  4. Availability for short notice or weekend work, including travel when necessary.

Preferred Attributes:

  1. EDiscovery experience with relevant forensic collection and analysis software.
  2. Certifications in EnCase, Cellebrite, Nuix, CFE or similar.
  3. SQL or scripting.
