Consultant Psychiatrist – Outpatient CAMHS General Psychiatry

Canterbury, United Kingdom The Priory Full time

Priory Wellbeing Centre Canterbury is conveniently situated right in the heart of Canterbury’s city centre, offering easy access to all. Our expert team delivers established outpatient treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, addictions, and eating disorders. We provide high-quality support to adults, young people, older people, and couples, offering practical, effective help to all our service users.

We are currently seeking a CAMHS Psychiatric Consultant to support our CAMHS structure at Priory Wellbeing Centre Canterbury.

The successful applicant will be required to offer psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents (6 years to 17 years) on a self-employed basis.

The applicant would be expected to offer appointments to meet our clients' choice of funding, which includes self-funding and private/corporate medical insurance funding. Flexibility would be required to accommodate clients' schedules around schooling.

We currently have our CAMHS therapy team in place offering our clients ongoing treatment within Priory, which provides a supportive multi-disciplinary approach. The applicant will receive full training on the Priory CAMHS pathway and Priory systems.

An advantage would be to offer ADHD and ASC assessments, but it is not a necessity.
