Our dedicated 20000 employees optimize the branch improve operational efficiency and maximize self-service availability for financial institutions and retailers across the globe.Title: Senior Mechanical EngineerLocation: DundeeGrade: G11This challenging position involves working as part of a small team in Dundee and with other facilities and suppliers in the support design evaluation and test of ATMs (Auto-Teller Machines for the Banking Industry) and the devices used in ATMs. A key requirement is to have several years mechanical design experience with a keen interest in the design of product packaging & device integrationResponsibilities Work on new product developments designing mechanical parts assemblies and mechanisms - including injection moulded parts sheet metal parts castings turned parts etc.Clearly understand documentation and the ability to work solely on problems as well as within a team environmentMust be willing to work to and set high work standards and be a good communicator.FMEA experience.Module/Platforming/Product architecturesAbility to work on several projects simultaneouslyWork with Suppliers throughout project lifecycleLead electro/mechanical development activities providing estimates manufacturing options etc.Experience in electro/mechanical product design and working with tooling suppliers and parts manufacturers.Working with Industrial design functions to deliver designs as conceived and within the commercial goals.Proven track record delivering cost effective designs to specification and engineering standardsSupplier engagement and change managementLead design validation via design reviews stress analysis assembly tolerances testing and problem correction CLCARelease work products using the approved system with all relevant documentation required to implement your design changeBasis Design and ExperienceExperience: Minimum of 7 years related experienceEducation: BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering (or very similar STEM related discipline) min 2:1.Strong understanding of Mechanical design principles and technologies.Good solid experience in previous mechanical engineering roles.Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functions teams internally and externally.Highly proficient in CAD (Pro/E or Solidworks preferred)As an NCR Atleos employee we provide you with several core benefits as std as well as the opportunity to select additional discounted voluntary benefits.
