Our services range from site preparation and excavation to sheet piling, drainage, ducting, and concrete works.
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our team, with a strong background in contract law and civil engineering, ideally with experience in the data centre sector. Based in Rostrevor with travel as needed, this role involves managing contractual relationships, ensuring project compliance, and driving the quality and safety standards that set us apart in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the negotiation, management, and execution of tenders
- Work closely with project teams to ensure all timelines and budgetary goals are met, delivering to the highest standards expected in mission-critical settings.
- Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all sites.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in the delivery of civils construction projects with a typical value of £1m-£15m
- Experience successfully developing and delivered growth strategies within a high growth business
- Project and Programme Management of projects including client relationship, budgetary, compliance, time, risk management, and profitability
- Experience reporting on projects and taking corrective action
- Produce and demonstrate ‘Processes and Procedures’ insuring they are agreed with Senior Management team; and fully rolled out through the business insuring they are followed
- Ability to find, negotiate and seal attractive projects/ contracts/ Frameworks to help grow the business profitability and successfully
- Expert knowledge on contractual and legal aspects of construction projects including drafting and review of contracts
- Manage compliance with all quality, health and safety and legal requirements
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a construction setting
- Work with, hire and develop, a commercial team, supporting them in securing new business via tender or negotiation, and contract management
- Experience negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Assist and improve all HS&E accreditation’s and insure all are kept in date and up to standards
- Programme planning
- Attend tender handover meetings and deliver pre-start meetings to the site team
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within civil engineering, ideally with knowledge of data centre projects.
- Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, and best practices in contract negotiation and management.
- Expertise in managing complex civil engineering operations, with a steadfast commitment to quality and safety.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills, able to oversee multiple projects effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Certifications in Contract Management or Project Management are a plus
