Buyer - 6-Month Fixed Term Contract This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Supply Chain team, at our RLC Langford Lodge facility in Crumlin, Co. Antrim. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a strategic approach to supply chain management and the ability to work within a continuous improvement environment. Some key duties include: Responsible for the sourcing of a range of components, materials, equipment and services Results orientated, you will establish and develop supplier relationships whilst continually reducing total acquisition costs Manage delivery flow of parts and services and communicate issues to manufacturing cells Qualifications: Degree qualified, CIPS qualified, or substantial relevant hands-on experience. Essential Experience: Minimum 3 years hands on experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment with a proven track record in the execution of buying, forecasting and replenishment, SIOP, RCCP, MPS, MRP, where customer requirements can change regularly. Must have a proven track record of hands-on experience & excellent working knowledge of MRP & ERP systems. MS Office skills Desirable skills, experience, competence: Aerospace/Precision Engineering environment experience CIPS membership or working towards Excellent communication and negotiating skills Experience in new product introduction and supplier assessment would also be beneficial.
