Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Principle Engineer, with a strong background in chemical manufacturing to join a leading manufacturing business based in Yorkshire. This is a career defining opportunity for someone with a strong chemical engineering or chemistry background looking to be an integral part of a growing technical team in 2024. The Principle Engineers duties and responsibilities will include:
- Lead and drive on the continuous improvement culture across the plant
- Specific focus on root cause issues that could be impacting downtime, operational performance and safety
- Lead and participate in a range of hazard studies and process hazard reviews (HAZOP)
- Implementing change management solutions in respect of the above as Principle Engineer you will bring others on this journey
- Write operational reports based on data analyse
- Lead on OEE improvement across the site
- Implement operational excellence tools such as Kaizen, 5s etc
- Coach and develop from a technical/chemical engineering perspective
- Work collaborative across production, technical and maintenance teams
We are very keen to speak to you if you have the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 7+ years experience would be desirable, preferably within a challenging chemical environment
- Strong HAZOP experience
- Hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry (or Masters preferred)
- Six Sigma or Lean training and experience desirable
- Demonstrate a progressive chemical engineering career looking for your next challenge in more of lead/senior role
