Cyber Security Manager


Join a leading global investment bank as a Cyber Security manager within our clients IT department. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in providing Cyber Security services globally, focusing on driving the Cyber Assurance programme to reduce the bank’s cyber threat landscape and ensure robust "Business As Usual" cyber assurance processes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Cyber Test and Validation Management: Oversee the Cyber Test and Validation process, support Cyber Risk Assessment, and drive the Cyber Assurance programme across the bank.
  • Security Engineering Advice: Advise on advanced engineering methods to safeguard the bank’s network against risks related to web, mobile, web services, and client/server architectures.
  • 3rd Party Risk Reviews: Conduct risk reviews of third-party systems and applications, ensuring compliance with bank policies and standards.
  • Global Compliance: Collaborate with teams in various jurisdictions to meet specific technology and cybersecurity regulations not directly supported by our global framework.
  • Security Control Implementation: Work with technology infrastructure teams to implement security controls across various platforms.
  • Incident Management: Investigate, coordinate, and address Information and Cybersecurity incidents, including forensic evidence collection and security event investigation.
  • Incident Analysis and Communication: Analyze infrastructure security incidents, convey technical analysis to management, and act as a liaison during security investigations.
  • Regulatory Response: Respond to regulatory requests, manage engagements with regulators, and coordinate compliance-related investigations.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:


  • Experience: A strong background in Cybersecurity, Systems, Infrastructure, Network, and Cloud.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in applications deployments, endpoints, data, infrastructure, cloud, DNS, PKI, OS, SDN, encryption, forensics, authentication, firewalls, proxies, identity and access control, BC/DR, remote access, and cryptography.
  • Security Solutions: Experience in architecting and engineering complex security solutions, implementing global policies and standards.
  • Methodologies: Familiar with "Attack and Defensive" methods, Threat Hunting, Threat modeling, Reverse engineering, Vulnerability Management, Data modeling, and security metrics.
  • Automation and Scripting: Skilled in Python, Shell, Ansible, Jenkins.
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS; knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Alibaba Cloud, and Microsoft Office 365 is a plus.
  • Certifications: Preferable certifications include CISSP, CISM, CISSP-ISSMP, CRISC, GIAC, Azure, and AWS equivalent.
  • Frameworks: Good understanding of COBIT and ITIL processes.
