Senior Development Scientist SensorsiGiihave an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Scientist to join the Sensors & Assay Development team developing High Sensitivity Low-Cost biosensors on our propriety Gii technology.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Development Scientist to join a high-growth environment with a fast-paced and collaborative culture where you will work with some fantastic customers conducting research at the forefront of science and technology.PurposeThe Senior Development Scientist will play a pivotal role in the development of diagnostic assays on our propriety Gii-Sens technology. Your main accountabilities will be:Sensors Application DevelopmentSensors ExpertiseExperimental Planning and ExecutionData AnalysisTechnical ReportsWhat you will doKey responsibilities include:Provide scientific input into product and process developments to ensure optimum performance as well as client satisfactionDesign and execute advanced electrochemical experiments aligning methodologies with project goals and innovation targetsDevelop next-generation Gii-based sensors for in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) applicationsDrive experimental designs to make robust technical decisionsDesign and develop wet assay chemistries and translate their analytical performance characteristics into scalable dry assays while ensuring analytical performance and reliabilityDocument experimental work with precision maintaining high standards of reproducibility and traceabilityPrepare high-quality technical documentation including standard operating procedures and reportsStaying up to date with current trends in IVD assay development through routine review of scientific literatureSupport and mentor other development scientists and the wider team with delivery of key assay performance parameters as defined by goal-setting processWho we are looking forWe are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking scientist with a strong foundation in electrochemical biosensors and a passion for innovation in diagnostics. The ideal candidate will bring not only technical expertise but also a collaborative mindset and a drive to make meaningful contributions in a fast-paced mission-driven environment.Proven hands-on experience with electrochemical biosensors particularly in biomedical diagnostics applications.Strong ability to design execute and interpret complex experiments with a focus on innovation and problem-solving..Experience in working within wider R&D projects within bio-functionalization or assay development.A self-sufficient individual capable of applying and evaluating appropriate electrochemical techniques and characterisation applicable to biosensors.A rigorous and methodical approach to experimentation with excellent data analysis and documentation skills.Solid understanding of GLP and standard laboratory techniques and practices and experience working within a regulatory environment.Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex scientific findings to both technical and non-technical audiences..Demonstration of continuous learning professional development and scientific curiosity.Successful candidates will hold a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (biology biochemistry analytical/forensic chemistry etc.) and/or a masters degree with relevant industry experience.They will also have experience within a professional scientific environment in recent years either as a recent PhD graduate candidate or a holder of masters degree with through work experience in a similar role.What we offerThis role is offered as a full-time position working hours are 37.5 hours per week.
