Role Overview:
As Key Account Manager, you are responsible for building and maintaining the relationships with ripple⁺ retail and distribution partners both in the UK and internationally. You will be the key point of contact between the brand and the retailer, building strong commercial and trade marketing plans to grow ripple⁺ in the respective accounts.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between ripple⁺ and its retail and distributor partners globally.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential and current trade partners to enhance brand loyalty and maximize sales opportunities. Provide timely and responsive support to key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Support and collaborate with the Retail Team to achieve retail sales targets. This involves effective communication, strategic planning, and maximizing business potential with retailers.
- Manage travel retail expansions, working on merchandising strategies, staff training, market analysis, and logistics management to drive growth in the travel retail sector.
- Provide strategic recommendations on how to activate with trade partners, aligning with shopper needs while enabling ripple⁺'s growth. Be a guardian of the commercial strategy, understanding focus areas each year and building a plan to prioritize specific retailers accordingly.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute tailored promotional campaigns and activations for key accounts both online and in-store.
- Effectively plan promotional calendars in collaboration with retailers, aligning with key campaign periods predefined by the marketing team. (i.e. "New Year, New Me", "Stoptober")
- Deliver strong and disruptive in-store activations through merchandising at point-of-sale locations. Support new store openings, new counter launches and any special events.
- Utilise CRM tools and systems to track key account interactions, manage customer information, and streamline communication processes.
- Monitoring Implementation: Continually check new listings, promotions, and online sites to ensure accurate implementation.
- Marketing Material Management: Responsible for all in-store marketing materials and liaising with designers to bring them to life. Standardising marketing proposals and sales decks in line with our branding and growing product offerings.
- Confidently represent the brand in all retailer situations, understanding the ripple⁺ brand territory, identity, and product range. Educate and upskill retailer staff on the ripple⁺ brand and products by hosting training sessions to turn them into brand evangelists.
- Coordinate order processing and fulfilment for key accounts, managing inventory and logistics to ensure timely delivery and address any issues or discrepancies with orders to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Manage new enrolments by overseeing product listings and providing standardized assets and product information to new partners. Ensure successful launch of new products.
Knowledge/Skills requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years' experience in account management and or sales.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of the retail and travel retail industries is a plus.
- Proficiency in languages would be advantageous.
- Must be driven, take initiative, detail orientated and have an entrepreneurial mindset.
