About the Role

An exciting leadership opportunity to shape and drive the NIHR Policy Research Programme, influencing science, policy, and practice in the health and care sectors. The role will support NIHR’s strategic initiatives, working with DHSC’s Science, Research, and Evidence Directorate to maximise the impact of commissioned research on national policy.


About you

We seek someone with significant experience in evidence-informed policy making, ideally through commissioning and translating evidence into government policy. The Programme Director will oversee the NIHR policy research portfolio, including Policy Research Units (PRUs), the Call-off Analytical Facility, and Evidence Review Facilities.
