Full training / PPE / use of company equipment will be provided to ensure that all our drainage engineers have the right tools competency and confidence to undertake the work to Lanes high standard of operation regardless of background or previous experience.Position: Portareel Drainage EngineerLocation: Ryemeads Sewage Treatment Works Home Counties North Region (Ware Hertfordshire)Job Type:permanent full-timeHours: Monday to Friday 50 hours (3 weeks of days 1 week of nights)Salary: OTE 37000 per annum (made up of overtime night shift allowances and any bonuses)Benefits: 21 days holiday (plus bank holidays); health cash plan; onsite parking; auto enrolment pension scheme; friendly working environment.STRICTLY NO AGENCIES PLEASEAbout the Role:Due to continued growth and development we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.Working alongside a HGV two person crew to operate a portareel for both planned and reactive blockagesDelivering good customer service.Maintaining good H&S practise while carrying out works.Ensure vehicle stock is full and replenished.To comply with health and safety responsibilities i.e. PPE / safe site set ups protecting Lanes Group employees the public and other road users.To be able to utilise VISTEC and Salesforce platforms.Liaising with the client regarding progress and any updates.Ability to work unsupervised in all weather conditions utilising correct PPE lone worker system etcDynamically risk assess site access & working conditions depending on specific circumstances on arrivalProvide support to your colleagues.To conduct thorough inspections of tools equipment and plant before/after use.Report any defects or malfunctions in regards to training.Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibility towards themAny other reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by managementSo if you enjoy working outdoors and delivering only the best in customer service where no two days are the same and want to join a growing company that not only values you and your ability - but also strives to develop your potential and further your career progression then we are the right Company for you.What is essential is the ability to work safely to quickly diagnose and deliver practical and efficient solutions to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.FULL TRAINING GIVEN - Great OpportunityAbout You:The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards.
