Internal Sales Executive - Lichfield - Up to £30,000Our client are seeking an experienced and proactive Road Freight Forwarder to join their sales team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of domestic and European road transport operations and be confident managing both the commercial and operational aspects of road freight forwarding.This role focuses on spot quoting, outbound sales calls, and day-to-day coordination of shipments. You will be responsible for securing competitive transport rates, building strong relationships with carriers and customers, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods by road.Job type: PermanentHours: 09:00 - 17:300Salary: Up to £30,000Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidaysKey ResponsibilitiesHandle spot quote requests for full loads, part loads, and groupage movements across the UK and Europe.Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to generate new business and follow up on quotes.Negotiate rates with hauliers and customers to secure the most competitive and profitable solutions.Plan and coordinate daily road freight movements, ensuring timely collection and delivery.Maintain regular communication with carriers, customers, and internal departments.Monitor shipment progress and resolve any operational ...
