We are looking to appoint an outstanding individual to join us at Cheadle Hulme School as a Food Technician.

We are looking for someone who has an excellent understanding of food hygiene, and can work in a fast paced environment to ensure the cleanliness and organisation of classrooms for practical lessons. The ideal candidate will have excellent food preparation skills and be able to trial recipes for effectiveness and reliability.

Along with enthusiasm and willingness to show initiative, the ideal candidate will be able to work independently, managing their workload and prioritising tasks to make efficient use of time. IT skills are essential for supporting the production of audio visual materials including video and photo guides, and the ability to manage stock levels and use stock rotation to avoid food wastage are also required. 

Excellent interpersonal skills are needed as the post holder will be required to  work with people across the organisation; supporting pupils before and after school on days when they have practical lessons, liaising with the Cleaning and Estates team to ensure the rooms are clean and well maintained, and assisting teaching staff in the preparation of materials and demonstrations.

The role is Term Time (36 weeks + inset days) and the working hours for this role are 32 hours a week. The working week is 7.30am to 4pm from Tuesday to Friday with actual pay for the role of £16,419 plus benefits.
