Role: Mechanical Fitter / Electro-Mechanical Assembler Location: Cheltenham – Travel required to US & Canada (All expenses paid) Salary: £15.00 to £17.50 P/H + OT x 1.5 base rate – Permanent Employment Industry: Special Purpose Machinery & Conveyor Systems Due to continued growth and success, my client requires 2 x Electro-Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to join their business on a permanent employment basis, based at their site near Cheltenham. As the Mechanical Fitter / Electro-Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and automation machinery, as well as the installation of special purpose machinery and associated control systems on customer sites which will be across Europe, USA and Canada. Responsibilities: Conduct the assembly and installation of industrial machinery and conveyors Use general hand tools and power tools for assembly and fitting Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and able to follow written instructions Working in hygienic environments and to health and safety requirements Previous experience of working with electric, pneumatic systems and valves Travel to client sites in the US and Canada. Travel is expected around 5 times a year for 2 to 3 weeks at a time.
