Finance Apprentice

From day one, you will be working alongside the Finance Manager & Assistant Management Accountant who will support you throughout your development. Throughout your Apprenticeship, you will gain exposure to many areas of the finance function and develop skills that will kickstart your career in finance.

Location

The position will be based in our United Kingdom offices, located in Grazeley. Reading, England.

Responsibilities & Duties

About the role:

• Entering all transactional information into the finance system.
• Responsible for processing supplier invoices and sending remittances.
• Reconcile supplier statements and deal with any queries.
• Work with the project team to raise purchase orders as required.
• Monitor and manage the central finance mailbox.
• Monthly expense processing.
• Preparing weekly payment runs.
• Support the Finance Manager with wider finance administration duties.
• Assisting with bank reconciliations.
• Assisting with the annual audit process.
• Maintaining the company chart of accounts.

The training you will be getting:

• You will be studying the AAT Level 3 qualification, and you will attend study courses with First Intuition Ltd who are based in Reading town centre.
• First Intuition offers classroom courses and virtual classroom courses.
• Expected duration is 18 months.

• Flexible working. The expectation is the role will be fully office based initially as you learn and train. After 6 months we'd ask that you come into the office a minimum of 4 days a week

What we ask for

• A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
• 3 A-Levels grades A-C is preferable but not essential
• Ability to commute to our office in Grazeley
• EU citizen or possesses a current UK Tier 1 Visa and is eligible to take up full time, permanent employment in the UK.
