A well-regarded and friendly law firm based in Stockport is looking for an experienced Employer Liability / Public Liability (EL/PL) Lawyer to join their dynamic team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional with strong expertise in EL/PL litigation to take on a challenging and varied caseload. The firm is known for its supportive environment and is offering a great role with flexibility in working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own caseload of Employer Liability and Public Liability claims from inception to settlement.
- Handle both pre-litigated and litigated cases, ensuring that all procedural and statutory deadlines are met.
- Draft legal documents, including claims, responses, and other case-related correspondence.
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, insurers, and experts to ensure the smooth progression of cases.
- Prepare cases for court, ensuring compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and other relevant legal guidelines.
- Provide legal advice and support to clients, offering high levels of client care.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant legal precedents, legislation, and case law.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure best practice and case progression.
Requirements:
- c. 3 years PQE or equivalent in EL/PL litigation.
- Proven experience managing a full caseload independently.
- Strong knowledge of Employer Liability and Public Liability law and litigation processes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of client care.
