Portfolio Underwriter – Marine

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced insurance professional to join our Marine & Energy team in London. The ideal candidate will have experience in the insurance industry preferably within Marine and Energy classes and will be responsible for portfolio underwriting of Markels fast-follow insurance products. The Marine and Energy Division is part of a Wholesale group offering services for various specialty lines such as Equine and Livestock Marine and Energy Liability Trade Credit Political Risk and Surety (TCPRS). Our underwriting teams are known for their expertise in underwriting complex risks and delivering exceptional service. The Energy team focuses on underwriting a wide range of energy risks including upstream midstream & downstream energy Power & Sustainable Energy and Marine liabilities whilst the Marine short tail team specialises in cargo specie hull and war lines.
