Role: Waste Collection OperativePay: £11.44 per hourLocation: PontypoolHours: 37 hours per weekMonday - Thursday: 07:00 - 15:00, Friday, 07:00 - 14:30Pertemps are currently recruiting for a temporary waste collection operative for a client based in Pontypool immediate start.The Role:
  • To Carry out Waste collection services
  • To liaise with the Waste Awareness Officer/Enforcement Officer where there are areas of non-compliance.
  • Work in a safe manner, with safe working practices. Ensure that all protective clothing is worn.
  • Work within the Health and Safety Policy
  • Ensure all spillages are removed.
  • Report additional bins, excessive extra plastic sacks, and contaminated bins.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety issues
  • Good communication skills
  • It is desirable for the post holder has a clean and current driving licence.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
