Position Summary
Our Value Creation Team is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to help support some of our most critical initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Transformation Operations, the Program Manager is responsible for leading the planning, and execution of a series of complex, cross-departmental programs that are are critical to the growth of the business.
The successful candidate will use their experience and advanced Program Management methodologies to drive outcomes of the programs which they oversee, managing scope and ensuring delivery is on quality, on time, and on budget. As part of this role, the Program Manager will help to evolve and embed Loftware’s PMO standards, templates processes and ways of working.
This is a high-profile, influential role that will drive the project's strategy and execution, whilst also having regular interactions with stakeholders from numerous parts of the business. Loftware is on an extremely exciting journey and this role will play a pivotal role in the success of the business in the short and medium term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the complete lifecycle of the project from scoping to close-out and review.
- In line with the project objective, lead a cross-functional team to clearly articulate the approach, detailed project plan, metrics and budget required to deliver a successful outcome.
- Lead, co-ordinate and where appropriate motivate/inspire cross functional team members to adhere to their responsibilities and milestones, ensuring the project is delivered in line with the agreed criteria.
- Create a collaborative, constructive and performance focused environment, in line with the company's values.
- Proactively manage the project's scope, to ensure that the impact of any unforeseen changes is clear, and effectively managed through the change-order process to minimize scope, timing, or budget creep.
- Track and report project progress against agreed metrics regularly (weekly), identifying any course corrections required, resolving issues/conflicts that impact project deliverables and securing appropriate stakeholder approval.
- Prepare and lead project Steering Committee meetings to ensure appropriate governance is in place and ongoing strategic alignment is maintained.
- When needed, work with business leaders to build business case for proposed initiatives and secure necessary funding
- Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence in the pursuit of value creation.
- Proactively provide program management support & mentoring to other Loftware Program Managers / Project Coordinators.
- Assure that sound program management processes are established and maintained.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Program Management methodologies (Agile, PRINCE2, PMBOK, etc.), as well as activity and resource planning of enterprise software projects.
- Excellent leadership, diplomacy and motivational skills including the ability to lead cross-functional teams in person and virtually, across multiple physical teams and physical regions.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills, both in person and virtually.
- Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding teams accountable for performance.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Flexible with proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, etc.) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Program Manager, managing complex programs, preferably in the software industry.
- 7+ years of Program / advanced program management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
- 7+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple functions to achieve a common business objective.
- Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment.
- Moderate competency with software programs to manage programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet.
- Experience with Salesforce.com and Qlik or equivalent BI tool is a plus.
- Process Improvement experience / certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
