  • Implement best practices for data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • Optimise data warehouse performance through efficient query design, indexing strategies, and data partitioning.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Work closely with business analysts and data scientists to understand analytical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data warehouse solutions with existing systems and applications.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data management and analytics, and evaluate their potential impact on our data warehouse architecture.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in data modelling concepts and techniques (e.g., dimensional modelling, star schema, snowflake schema).
  • Expertise in designing and implementing ETL processes using industry-leading tools and frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in data warehouse environments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams to achieve project goals.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) would be a plus.

  • Valuing the unique experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds of all employees and creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued.
  • Prohibiting all forms of harassment, bullying, discrimination, and victimisation and promoting a culture of dignity and respect for all.
  • Educating all new hires on our Diversity and Inclusion policies and ensuring they are aware of their rights and responsibilities to create a safe and inclusive workplace.
  • By taking these steps, we are dedicated to building a workplace that reflects and celebrates the diversity of our employees and communities.

This role at Amber Labs is a permanent position, and all employees are required to meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.
