We also cross-sell the full range of wholesale products and services offered by the Scotiabank Group.Programme Overview:Scotiabank offers an exciting opportunity to join the London-based Risk team of a Canadian Bank commencing in June 2026.This 10-week programme is designed for students in their first year of study (or second year of a four year degree) who are eager to learn and have a passion for Risk.Predominantly based within the Enterprise Risk function this internship will allow you to gain exposure to risk management oversight of the business lines as well as deepen your understanding of how an investment banks Risk function works and learn what it takes to be a trusted business partner.What You Can Expect:Risk Identification and Assessment: Assist in gathering and analyzing data to identify material and emerging risks across business units and functionsRisk Reporting and Dashboards:Contribute to the preparation of regular enterprise risk reports including dashboards and key risk indicators (KRIs) for management and Board committeesRegulatory and Policy Support:Assist in reviewing and updating risk management policies procedures and frameworks to align with evolving regulatory expectations and internal governance standardsRisk Governance support:Provide administrative and analytical support for risk committees including agenda preparation documentation and follow-up on action items.Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance Compliance Audit and Business Units) to collect risk-related information and support cross-functional projectsRisk Management (GRM) Governance and Assurance: Assist the Enterprise Risk team with assurance testingWork with subject matter experts assisting with various BAU tasks on financial and non-financial risksComplete an intern project assignment and present it to the wider teamProgramme Highlights:Our internship is designed to give you real insight into life at Scotiabank.
