Supported by Kiko Ventures Cambridge Enterprise Breakthrough Energy and the European Innovation Council Barocals technology is poised to transform entire industries impacting over 40% of global energy use.TasksSystem Design: Design and develop mechanical components and systems enhancing the functionality and efficiency of Barocals innovative cooling solutions. Experimental Setup: Contribute to the execution of experimental rigs to rigorously test new heat transfer and hydraulic designs. CAD Drawing: Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering drawings ensuring precision in design and adherence to industry standards. Manufacturing Engineering: Drive projects that enhance product functionality cost efficiency and manufacturability. Supplier Engagement: Collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure specifications are met and projects stay on track. Project Management: Contribute to the overall development of our product and support with project management tasks.RequirementsRequired Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Thermal Engineering or a related discipline. A PhD in a related field is a plus. Experience: 3 years of experience in an R&D environment preferably within the HVAC automotive or space sector. Practical Skills: Hands-on experience in mechanical engineering and experimental design ideally in the context of novel climate technologies. Desired Skills: Familiarity with experimental setups test rigs and instrumentation. Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. Expertise in CAD and manufacturing/materials processing is desirable. Experience in either HVAC or hydraulic systems is a plus.
