Hygiene Operative We are looking for dedicated Hygiene Operatives to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and contributing to a safe working environment. You will be hard working, flexible and have an eye for detail and a passion for the role that you do. Main duties and responsibilities Perform deep cleaning of food production equipment, machinery, and work areas to meet hygiene and safety standards. Manual cleaning of large/heavy equipment, including disassembly and reassembly where required. Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents, ensuring safe and correct usage. Follow cleaning schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., BRC, HACCP). Conduct swabbing and hygiene verification checks as required. Work effectively with production, engineering and quality assurance teams to minimize contamination risks. Maintain accurate cleaning records and report any issues to management. Adhere to health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with waste disposal and ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.
