Fire Contracts Manager (Fire Alarms)Location: BrentwoodReports To: Managing DirectorSalary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits + Vehicle/AllowanceType: Full-Time / PermanentCompany Overview:Wiggett Group is a thriving, successful company with an excellent track record in delivering property services across social housing and commercial sectors. We specialise in fire safety, security systems, Building Services, and compliance, maintaining the highest standards across all contracts. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fire Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple fire safety projects and maintenance contracts, ensuring full compliance with British Standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.Role Purpose:The Fire Manager will lead and manage the operational delivery of fire-related contracts (fire alarms, emergency lighting, and compliance works). They will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards, whilst maintaining excellent client relationships.Key Responsibilities:Contract & Project ManagementOversee day-to-day management of multiple fire contractsPlan, schedule, and monitor work programmes ensuring efficient and effective delivery.Ensure works comply with relevant regulations (BS 5839, BS 5266, Fire Safety Order 2005, etc.).Manage resources effectively (engineers, subcontractors, materials, equipment)Commercial & Financial ControlMonitor project budgets, valuations, variations, and profitability.Manage subcontractor performance, procurement, and payment processes.Report financial progress to senior management.Client Relationship ManagementAct as the key client contact, building strong professional relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Attend client meetings and provide contract performance updates.Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all works meet statutory compliance and company quality standards.Carry out quality audits and inspections.Maintain accurate records, reports, and certificates.Health & SafetyEnsure safe systems of work and compliance with H&S legislation.Promote a strong H&S culture across all projects and teams.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and support engineers and site teams.Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of staff.Key Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the fire safety sector (essential).Strong knowledge of fire systems and compliance works (fire alarms)Familiar with relevant regulations and standards (BS 5839, BS 5266, Fire Safety Order 2005, etc.).Excellent organisational and planning skills — able to manage multiple contracts.Strong financial and commercial awareness.Excellent client-facing and communication skills.Ability to lead and motivate site teams and subcontractors.Full UK driving licence (essential).Qualifications (Desirable):FIA / NSI / BAFE accreditationsSMSTS / SSSTS
