Transport Administrator

A new role for a Transport Administrator has come up for this global freight business. Working in an established distribution team you will be the important link between operations and customers, ensuring customers’ orders are managed and delivered efficiently and to deadline. This is a Monday to Friday role, 37.5hours per week, 9am to 5pm.
Key duties will involve:
- Providing correct documentation to the warehouse for the timely loading and unloading of trailers.
- Maximising fleet utilisation.
- Dealing efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, drivers, suppliers, and other depots.
- Ensuring legal compliance: drivers’ hours, vehicle dimensions, weights and capacity.
- Administration of PODs, invoices, filing, queries and claims.
- Financial management ensuring costs are in accordance with departmental requirements.
- Production of KPI reports.
To be successful in this role you will have a strong transport administrative background, good customer service skills, be used to working with transport management systems and have knowledge of transport regulations and compliance. We need a good team player who can work effectively under pressure.
