Teacher required for Vision-Impaired Student Location: GloucestershirePosition: Self Employed basis – 15 hours minimum but can offer more if requiredHourly rate: This is dependent on experience, good rates paid. We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Teacher/Specialist Support Teacher to work with a vision-impaired student, providing high-quality support including Braille-base learning. About the RoleTeach and support the student in reading and writing Braille.Modify lesson resources into accessible formats (eg Braille, audio, tactile resources)Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet our student’s needsSupport our student in building confidence and independenceCollaborate with family and support staff where appropriateRequirements:Proficiency in Unified English BrailleExperienced teaching or tutoring visually impaired leanersA deep understanding of child development principles and effective teaching methodologies.Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
