Finance Director

London – Part-time role

Circa £80,000


Fourblue have teamed up with a leading independent EV (Electric Vehicle) charging infrastructure development company. A distinguished player in the EV charging market with the ability to provide partners with fully funded bespoke technology and service solutions.

With a core mission to address the challenges faced by charge point operators (CPOs) and landlords in rolling out networks of rapid and ultra-fast EV charging stations in the UK.


They are seeking a Finance Director to be a key part of shaping the company’s financial strategy, helping ensure they have healthy and stable financial growth and expand their operations.


Responsibilities of the Finance Director:

  • Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives
  • Provide strategic guidance on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support long-term growth and profitability
  • Insightful analysis and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance metrics and key performance indicators
  • Lead the budgeting process and monitor budget variances to ensure financial targets are met
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements across all aspects of the business
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities for financial audits and reporting obligations
  • Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and other external stakeholders
  • Provide transparent and accurate financial information to support decision-making and investor relations activities
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Deliver coaching and professional development opportunities to build a high-performing finance organisation


Criteria for the Finance Director:

  • Degree educated
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector although this is not essential
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, treasury management, and financial reporting principles
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decision-making at all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
