We are seeking a talented and experienced Second Chef to join our culinary team in Loughborough United Kingdom. As the Second Chef you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations creating innovative menus and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff managementDevelop and execute new menu items in collaboration with the culinary teamEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain kitchen hygiene standardsManage inventory place orders and control food costsTrain and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve their skills and efficiencyPrepare and cook high-quality dishes for serviceAssist in menu planning and recipe developmentStep in for the Head Chef when necessaryContribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen processes and proceduresCollaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfactionQualifications : Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institutionMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hotel settingProven experience in a leadership role within a kitchen environmentStrong culinary skills and expertise in various cooking techniques and cuisinesExcellent knowledge of food safety practices and current health and hygiene regulationsValid food safety certificationProficiency in menu planning recipe development and food presentationStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and team leadership abilitiesCreativity and passion for culinary innovationPhysical stamina to work long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environmentFlexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as requiredKnowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special meal requestsProficiency in kitchen management software and inventory systems is a plusRemote Work : NoEmployment Type : Full-time Key Skills Environment,ABB,Community Support,Irrigation,Loans,Filing Experience: years Vacancy: 1
