Maintenance Enigneer Food Manufacturing Powys Pittman Shift - Perm Role Description Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Team leader, this role is responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in industrial settings. Using computerised systems, the maintenance engineers perform routine maintenance and repairs. They are also involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally assist in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance. Shift engineers will work in a clean, safe, cost effective and responsible manner, monitoring plant, machinery and services throughout the factory. Shift engineers are required to work with minimal supervision and to work flexible shift patterns to meet operational needs. Role specific responsibilities: - Key Responsibilities: * Carry out routine maintenance work across the factory, warehouse and offices and respond to equipment faults. * Diagnose breakdown problems. * Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly. * Carry out quality inspections on jobs. * Control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment * Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs * Improve health and safety policies and procedures. * Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns. * Create and update maintenance, and breakdown reports. * Keep Shire maintenance system up to date ...
