As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be responsible for shaping and executing the technical direction of manufacturing systems and processes, ensuring smooth and efficient NPI from concept through to production. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in aerospace manufacturing, process design, and technical project delivery. What You'll Be DoingLead and supportNew Product Introduction (NPI)activities across manufacturing projects.Serve as the technical interface between design, supply chain, and production teams.Define and execute manufacturing strategies that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.Implement and continuously improve manufacturing systems, including process simulation, cell layout, takt-time planning, and risk mitigation.Drive technical decision-making across manufacturing engineering work packages.Support the integration of new technologies and contribute to long-term manufacturing roadmaps.Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture (DFM) and aligned with lean manufacturing principles.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience inaerospace manufacturing and NPI delivery .Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to interpret engineering drawings.HNC (or equivalent) or Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering.Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Experience working with suppliers and implementing new manufacturing technologies.Desirable:Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.Background in Design for Manufacture (DFM) and/or automation.Project management qualifications (Prince2, APMP).Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business Management.Key AttributesSelf-motivated and proactive.Strong communicator with effective stakeholder management skills.Committed to continuous improvement and innovation.Able to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.Why Join?This role offers the chance to contribute to high-profile NPI projects that are shaping the future of aerospace manufacturing.
