The team plays a key role in driving technological improvements across the business and ensuring that the business remain at the forefront of using technology to enhance the business services and products. Your primary role as an IT Support Apprentice is to deliver excellent technical on-site support with outstanding customer service to all users across the business.Responsibilities:Deliver excellent customer and technology services via the Service Desk channelsUse service monitoring tools to aid problem solving and service deliveryUse automation where possible to support the automatic resolution or mitigation of issuesSupport develop and co-ordinate the effective functioning of business applicationsContribute to the planning of application scalability configuration changes and releasesProviding virtual support for staff working remotely as well as on-site.Interact with internal teams and 3rd party vendors as appropriate as part of the supply/delivery/support chainHandle escalated Service Desk tickets incident management and service requests as appropriateContribute to and resolve escalated customer supplier and vendor issuesDevelop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needsParticipate and assist in driving the knowledge management processParticipate in IT related projectsAssist with the creation distribution and analysis of operational business and financial reportingContribute to the production of IT support documentation as part of knowledge baseDesirable skills: Good communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsBasic level of IT knowledge and general IT skillsExcellent time/task management skillsGood problem-solving skillsCan manage a varied and unpredictable workloadPro-active approach to tasksCan work as part of a team but also autonomously with minimal supervision when requiredAble to make decisions (with support when required)Ability to deal with difficult customers and provide a satisfactory outcome in an efficient and polite mannerEntry requirements:3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subjectGCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above)Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subjectYou may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the this instance you could still be considered for the programme.If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.For more information please visit the UK ENIC website.
