We believe in a good work life balance so there is no on call or weekend work.This role is part time working 1 day a week at HMP Lewes for a period of approximately 3 years.You will be responsible for assessing and treating a range of MSK pathologies with some complex and/or chronic presentations. You will need to demonstrate advanced MSK diagnostic and treatment skills, be able to work within the MDT and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.This is your opportunity to work as part of a forward thinking, innovative health care team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, podiatrists and mental health professionals, delivering high quality, best practice treatment. You will also form part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team comprising of physiotherapists and podiatrists in immigration centres and prisons across the country.What you'll be doingAs Our Physiotherapist, You WillProvide outstanding evidence-based care, listening and acting on patient feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to patientsDeliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries. Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguardingInspire excellence in your colleagues by being pro-active in the management of MSK conditions and motivating the wider team to identify patients presenting with red flag symptoms.You will forge strong working relationships with the Practice Plus Group healthcare team and the wider prison serviceShare knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care supporting your clinical and non-clinical colleagues to do a great jobBe responsible for your own caseload and waiting list and be able to work as an autonomous practitionerYou will be closely supported and mentored by our Clinical Lead, and this combined with our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses, you will be provided with an excellent supportive learning environment to continue your professional developmentTo find out more about working in a Prison/immigration environment, read about one of our current Physiotherapists -Life as a Prison Physiotherapist | Practice Plus GroupWhat we'll look for in youAs a HCPC Registered Physiotherapist, With Proven Post-registration Experience Of Assessing And Treating MSK Conditions In An Outpatient Setting, You Will Also HaveExperience in assessing and treating some complex and/or chronic presentations.Demonstrable advanced MSK diagnostic and treatment skillsAbility to work within the MDT and maintain records as an autonomous practitionerExcellent communication and organisational skillsGood IT skillsWillingness to learn and developCSP member – desirableExperience of NHS work and knowledge of national pathways – desirableKnowledge of Systm1 - desirableWhat you can expect in return;Up to £48951 per annum pro rata depending on experienceA fixed-term contract up to 3 yearsAn extensive range of wellbeing and lifestyle benefits25 days annual leave (increasing with service) plus bank holidays (pro-rata depending on days worked)The support you need to grow in your role, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses and an excellent supportive learning environment to continue your professional developmentBe part of a forward thinking, innovative health care teamTo apply for the role, click on the link below.
