Audit & Accounts Senior Job Vacancy

We're seeking an exceptionally talented and dynamic Audit and Accounts Senior in Middlesex to support the provision of audit services for a thriving firm of accountants.

This opportunity will suit someone who is able to contribute to the preparation of audit and accounts for a large portfolio of clients in varying sectors with high turnovers, so attention to detail and the ability to manage workflow and meet deadlines will be critical. You will be able to build trusted and long-lasting relationships with clients, whilst always striving to deliver excellence.

You’ll be eager to hit the ground running, supporting the Managers and Partners in identifying and pursuing commercial opportunities.

Job Purpose

  • Leading audits from planning through to completion.
  • Accounts preparation for non-audit clients.
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior staff members.
  • Involvement in the management of a portfolio of clients, from resource planning to WIP and budget management.
  • Work closely with clients to build trusted relationships, being the go-to for support.
  • Confidently present work to Managers, completing files to a high standard.
  • Underpin audit and accounts matters with current legislation and compliance.
  • Handle compliance queries from clients.
  • Assist with pitching to new clients and attending networking opportunities, championing new business for the firm.
  • Mentor and support new trainees, supporting with their learning and development.
  • Set an example for the team.

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA or ACA qualified, or finalist, with previous accountancy practice experience.
  • Experience being involved in the provision of audits.
  • Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress.
  • Technically efficient in both audit and accounting.
  • A drive to deliver an excellent level of service.
  • Effective communication skills are essential, both verbal and written.
  • An appetite to progress and take on a supervisory role within the firm.
