Description

  • Manage procurement and supply chain operations for the public sector and government department
  • Oversee contract negotiations and contract compliance
  • Ensure cost-effective sourcing and purchasing of goods and services
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Maintain supplier relations and manage disputes
  • Comply with NHS regulations and policies
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to overall department goals
  • Report to senior management on procurement and contract performance

Profile

A successful 'Interim Procurement and Contracts Manager' should have:

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
  • Prior experience in procurement and contract management, preferably within the NHS
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and regulations in the public sector
  • Ability to work well within a team and contribute to its success
