I am looking for a Senior Project Manager with solid substation and transmission experience to support the close out of a key project in Cornwall. The scheme has around 12 months remaining so the successful candidate must be confident taking ownership of the final stages through to handoverResponsibilities include• Leading the close out of all project stages through to handover• Oversight of design integration, construction and commissioning activities• Programme management including monitoring progress and driving delivery• Managing remaining change risk and early warnings• Coordinating engineering construction and commissioning teams• Ensuring all works meet required technical and safety standards• Client reporting on progress cost and riskCandidate location and travel• You can be based anywhere in the UK• You must be able to commit to one week on site and one week working from home or two weeks on site every month• The client will cover travel to and from site for your onsite weeksBackgroundTo be considered you must have• Proven substation and transmission experience on major UK infrastructure schemes• Strong background in design and build delivery and leading multi discipline teams• Experience managing close out commissioning or final delivery phases• Excellent understanding of substation safety CDM and high voltage environments• Strong commercial awareness and client facing skills• Previous Sub-Station experience is essentialWhat is on offer• 12 month contract to lead the final year of a major project• One week on site one week working from home• Travel covered to and from site• Negotiable rate depending on experienceIf you are a Senior Project Manager with experience on substation transmission projects and would like to discuss this role further please get in touch.
