Sales Manager, UK Government. Cybersecurity. Remote

£100,000 Basic, £160,000 OTE uncapped + Excellent benefits


This is an autonomous, remote-based position with a global consultancy in the cybersecurity sector. You will be responsible for driving growth within the UK government sector. We are looking for someone with extensive experience selling cybersecurity or related solutions into UK Government.


You will identify and secure high-value contracts, manage existing partnerships, and implement programs across government departments and agencies.


As the Head of Sales, Cybersecurity, You Will Receive:

  • Pension: 5% employee contributions, 6% employer contributions
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holiday
  • Christmas shutdown: 3/4 days of annual leave needed (taken from yearly holiday allowance).

  • Bupa medical insurance – on completion of probation.
  • Group Income Protection – 70% up to 5 years if requirements are met.
  • Voluntary days: 2 days paid leave for voluntary work.


What’s Required to Succeed as Sales Manager, Cybersecurity?

  • A degree or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a field-based B2B sales role, specifically within Government, the Military, or Law Enforcement sectors.
  • Proven ability to implement and deliver strategic plans to increase market share and facilitate long-term growth.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the standards established by the UK Cyber Security Council.


Your responsibilities as Sales Manager, Cybersecurity

  • Understand the UK government’s cybersecurity landscape, focusing on the government campus and cybersecurity liaison (CSL) to implement effective strategies.
  • Create strategies to leverage the Government Campus for enhanced engagement with the UK Government.
  • Promote top-tier cybersecurity training solutions to senior government officials.
  • Stay updated on current and emerging cybersecurity trends, incorporating this knowledge into planning.
  • Conduct meetings with senior government stakeholders to strengthen relationships.
  • Identify cybersecurity skills gaps using the Cabinet Office’s Security Profession Career Framework and support the UK Government’s Security Profession Programme.
  • Ensure a world-class customer experience through proactive management of customer success.
  • Take ownership of performance metrics, including sales targets and KPIs, to ensure objectives are met.
  • Lead the tender process for academy procurement opportunities in the government sector.
