Job summary – What to expect:
We have 2 exciting opportunities for you to join our Production Engineering team as a Production Engineer where you will provide technical expertise, process, production, project and process validation support to the Packaging, Distribution and Maintenance teams.
You will be a key team member in the appraising, specifying and developing of packaging automated machines and distribution automated storage and retrieval systems. Other responsibilities include:
- Conduct safety assessments, appraisals, capability studies and process validation in accordance with medical device regulatory requirements
- Implement process improvements, including optimisation of productivity, yield and quality, in line with change control requirements
- Typically functioning as a Change/Project Leader in the above activities
- Timely reporting against objectives
- Training other team members and operations staff as required
About you:
We are looking for individuals who have a high level of numeric, literate, verbal, engineering reasoning and problem solving abilities alongside the following:
- An engineer who is mechanically trained through an apprenticeship with an awareness/ability to carry out some basic electrical engineering
- Demonstrable experience of leading or participating in validation activities
- Demonstrable experience of authoring and reviewing technical documents
- Excellent demonstrable experience of fault diagnosis and root cause analysis on automated machinery
- Experience or knowledge of budget management
- Experience of leading or working in project teams
- Knowledge of laser marking, thermal printing and labelling equipment
- Knowledge of vision systems and barcode readers
- Experience of working in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Proficient ability in Microsoft Office
