Job Description

The Supported Accommodation Officer will work as part of a team, be responsible for the delivery of a Regulated Service - Homeless Hostels and Sheltered Housing.

The Supported Accommodation Officer will plan, monitor and supervise the delivery of the service to enable service users to live as independently as possible within the community.

The Supported Accommodation Officer will act in accordance with Health & Social Care Standards, SSSC Registration, and Care Inspectorate requirements.

Requirements

Provide day to day management of a Regulated Service

Supervise, support and identify development opportunities for Staff

Work in a multi-professional way by liaising with internal and external colleagues

Contribute to the maximisation of income from occupied accommodation

Deliver emergency and temporary accommodation.

The Individual

Recent experience of multidisciplinary working in a Housing Support/Social Care environment or a medical environment.

Experience of supervising staff.

Experience of risk assessment process.

Educated to HNC/SVQ4 in Social Care.

PDA in supervision or evidence of ability to obtain the qualification.

Evidence of ability to meet SSSC registration requirements and continuing PRTL requirements.

Good communication skills, both oral and written.

Competent in the use of IT systems, including Microsoft and bespoke IT systems.

Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.

Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.

Evidence of being self-motivated and ability to motivate others.

Ability to negotiate and liaise with appropriate others and resolve conflict.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to service development.

Ability to work in partnership in a multi-professional way.

Willingness to accept direction/delegation.

Ability to undertaker home visits to tenants in their own tenancy or temporary accommodation.

Ability to work in an open plan office.

Ability to work in different offices dependent on service requirements.

Closing Date: 23 February

Starting Salary: £35, per year

£19.05 per hour

36.25 hours per week
