DCIM Specialist

Location - Telford or Leeds or London

What will you do?

  • Ensure safe working and follow local guidelines
  • Assign & Co-ordinate internal work order management tool
  • Perform Install & configuration support in Schneider or similar DCIM software applications and Environmental monitoring devices in remote & on-site as requested.
  • Configuration support in Schneider Network Management Cards
  • Work closely with Regional Delivery Manager/Project Manager
  • Perform onsite and remote troubleshooting in Schneider DCIM Softwares and Troubleshooting in communication protocols like SNMP, Modbus RTU & Modbus TCP
  • Develop and enhance project documentation to enrich customer's experience
  • Customer facinf experience to support & utilize cross-border collaboration to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Articulate to an internal and client project team the necessary steps/pre-requisite required to complete the scops of work
  • Ability to identify DCIM problem statement(s), solution proposal, and scope of work with a defined project plan.
  • Participate in the technical review process for product enhancements
  • Perform post configuration review and Deliver Admin training to partners and end users Liaise with Product Managers or Custom Solutions team, provide feedback from customer for improvements.
  • Identify Lead generation in services and software licenses
  • Colloborate with regional sales and provide possible solution, around customer needs and deliver services.
  • Basic Linux Administration - configure IP address, DNS/hostname resolution, stop/start/enable service will be an added advantage
  • Hyperconverged Infrastructure solutions - Dell VxRail, Nutanix AHV and ESXi, HPE SimpliVity, Cisco HyperFlex will be an added advantage
  • Basic familiarity with PKI and SSL certificates will be an added advantage

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

  • Essential:
    • Experience in Customer-facing, project management, analysis, troubleshooting technical skills
    • Demonstrated basic technical knowledge of:
      • Data centre IT components and interconnections (servers, Blades/Blade Chassis, network switches, RACK PDUs, etc.)
      • Data centre networks and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, SNMP, Modbus)
      • Structured cabling components and concepts (patch panels, fibre, copper)
      • Data centre facilities components (UPS, PDUs, single and 3 Phase Power, CCU)
      • VMware vSphere ESX/ESXi VM configuration
      • Ability to work flexible hours with travel up to 50% required, some globally.
  • Associates/Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Previous working experience providing DCIM customer support for complex technical solutions in a Data Centre environment.
  • Accountability and the ability to adapt/multi-task/manage changing priorities.
  • Data centre surveys and audits
  • Ambitious, Self-motivated, ability to learn and apply new skills quickly
  • Good English written, and oral communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Working experience in Salesforce and WO management would be an added advantage
  • Certification in Schneider DCIM software's is added advantage
  • Certification in networks & routing concepts would be an advantage but not mandatory.
  • VMware Certified Professional or equivalent will be an added advantage
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate - Certifications (or equivalent) will be an added advantage
  • Nutanix Certified Professional or equivalent will be an added advantage
