Job Title: Freelance PMO Deputy - Offshore Wind Development in Europe

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to project sites in Europe

Duration: Project-based, Freelance

Job Description:

As a Freelance PMO Deputy for Offshore Wind Development in Europe, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the successful execution of a large-scale offshore wind project. You will work closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and cross-functional teams to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with all safety and quality standards. This is a remote freelance position with occasional travel to project sites in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Collaborate with the project manager to create, update, and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Resource Allocation: Assist in resource allocation and ensure that the right teams and skills are available to meet project milestones.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure that project risks are monitored and managed effectively.
Reporting and Documentation: Generate and maintain project reports, status updates, and documentation to keep stakeholders informed about project progress.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication between project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of quality control measures to ensure that the project meets industry and regulatory standards.
Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Change Management: Help manage and document changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all activities adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance project management processes and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the PMO.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in renewable energy or offshore wind development.
  • Strong understanding of PMO methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of the European offshore wind industry and related regulatory frameworks.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites in Europe as required.
