Senior IT Technician (Job ref 6.9)

15 hours per week over 4 days, term time only

Damers First School is a vibrant and dynamic first school, educating children from ages 4 - 9. We are committed to providing an excellent education and fostering a positive learning environment for our pupils. We are seeking a part-time IT Technician to join our team and support our school's IT equipment and systems. 15 hours a week over 4 mornings but flexible working would be considered.

As a Part-Time IT Technician at Damers, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school's technology resources.

Responsibilities include:

● providing technical support to teachers and support staff
● maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software
● adhering to cyber security compliance matters
● assisting in the implementation of new technology initiatives.
● Working with the Wessex Multi Academy Trust IT department
● Ensure the network is available within working hours
● Manage back up systems
● Maintain asset register for all school IT devices
● Maintain the school website and create newsletters

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Keeping Children Safe in Education

The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
