Job description

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of leadership in a compliance environment. They will have a deep understanding of the regulatory requirements of the energy sector and will be able to develop and implement clear and transparent work objectives, milestones and success metrics in their area of expertise to oversee and co-ordinate successful team outcomes.

They will also be able to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Head of Supplier Compliance will be responsible for:�

Jointly lead the ECO Scheme Compliance team to deliver an effective compliance programme. Provide clear and transparent work objectives, milestones and success metrics in your area of expertise to oversee and co-ordinate successful team outcomes.Collaborate closely with other teams to manage interdependencies, risks and resourcing to support portfolio delivery.Ensure there is a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging all team members and colleagues to identify and implement more effective ways of working.Demonstrate effective diversity and inclusive team management within their team and the wider organisation.Be an active member of the wider leadership team, contributing to a high-performing portfolio.

Key Outputs and Deliverables

Effective compliance and enforcement strategy and programme, holding suppliers to account to delivering their obligations and taking action if they fail to do so.Ensuring there is effective resource management � to deliver the work, support development and ensure there is resilience within the team.Manage effective and inclusive team resourcing and staff onboarding through close engagement with relevant Deputy Director, Workstream Managers, Heads of Professions, PDLs and HR Staffers to ensure best talent match to work needs.Provide expert guidance to help team members deliver, by building supportive, inclusive team environment based on trust-based relationships, transparency and inclusivity. Provide expert guidance and solutions to complex problems.Represent Ofgem with external stakeholders, such as the companies being investigated, as well as developing links internally with other teams across Ofgem.

Proven ability to motivate and lead a team to manage and deliver complex programmes of work to deadlines [Lead].Experience of working in a complex environment, acting as an internal expert � advising and challenging senior leaders on strategic and operational performance related matters.Experience in reviewing and improving processes.Develops, plans and delivers work outcomes, including clear and transparent work objectives, milestones and success metrics.Experience in building effective relationships successfully and influencing/challenging internal and external stakeholders, including in high pressure situations.
