For all our apprentice positions, we’re looking for 3 Standard Grades (level 4) or equivalent, ideally Maths, English and a Science subject. But even if you don’t have these formal qualifications, you may be considered if you have the equivalent skills and abilities.

Based at Stobhill Depot, Newtongrange, ,Your trade will be tailored to give you formal training combined with practical, supervised on-the-job training – and a recognised qualification at the end of it.

We are looking to recruit 16-19 year olds in order to comply with Skills Development Scotland requirements to secure fully funded training places. As this is considered a funding issue it is therefore only open to 16 to 19 year olds and age legislation is not applicable.

Successful candidates will be registered with the appropriate Industry Training Organisation for the duration of their training programme.

Apprentices will receive a personal training plan which will outline the development of their work based training programme which will be reviewed at regular intervals.

Essential 3 Standard Grades (level 4) (preferably Maths, English and a Science)

Carry out any other duties commensurate with the post as the job develops.
