Newhill Primary School Early Learning Centre, Blairgowrie

Newhill Early Learning Centre is looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing and innovative Early Childcare Practitioner to join our large, friendly team.

You will help to plan, assist and support the provision of high-quality care; and a comprehensive range of appropriate, stimulating and creative activities for children 2 - 5 years.

Please note that this post is 30 hours per week, term time, 8.50am – 3.20pm.

Our aim is to provide high quality child-centred Early Learning and Childcare (aged 2-5 years) which reflects and responds to individual needs and identity.

You must be able to work on your own initiative and as a team member who directly contributes to and supports colleagues in the development of high-quality learning.

The successful candidate will already hold an appropriate qualification, eg SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF Level 7 equivalent or SVQ3 in either Childcare and Education or Social Services (Children and Young People).

You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting employment.

The ability to work in a team situation is essential and a flexible approach to working with children aged 2-5 years and their families.

A genuine interest in the development of children and their wellbeing is essential and the important qualities are kindness, sensitivity, respectfulness, and good manners and to respect confidentiality at all times.
