Otley and Witnesham are both lovely, small village schools on the outskirts of Ipswich. The children are delightful, parents supportive and the team wonderful. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception/KS1 Class Teacher to join our team, teaching in Reception in the mornings and KS1 in the afternoons, with small cohort sizes. At Otley Primary School, we currently have 4 classes and Year 1 and 2 join Reception in the afternoons. In Reception, we follow the national guidance for all children aged 0-5 years. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework sets out the standards for development, learning and care of children from birth to five. The curriculum is planned in seven areas of learning and development; all areas are important and inter-connected. The children thrive through our use of continuous provision, which is available for the children to use every day. Within each of these areas of provision there is a core range of resources that children can use all of the time, throughout the whole year. Planning effectively for continuous provision is crucial and involves a consideration of classroom layout and resourcing that will enable staff to offer a breadth of learning possibilities.
