Job description

SLC have an exciting opportunity for a People Partnering Manager to lead a comprehensive strategic business partnering, advisory and support service across SLC business areas, through an effective and colleague-focused approach. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner with proven leadership ability and support the development and implementation of the People Strategy and People directorate business plan. �In addition, the People Partnering Manager will provide expert advice and guidance to the business on complex people and employee relations matters whilst highlighting improvement areas and creating tactical plans to manage and mitigate risk through the effective analysis of management information.

SLC offer a Blend working model which will typically be 2 days in office and 3 days at home

What you bring:

Experience leading and developing a high-performing and knowledgeable HR Business Partnering and Advisory team, who can effectively support their assigned business areas during periods of significant change.

Experience of leading the delivery of corporate wide strategic people initiatives and representing the People Directorate as the SME on multiple projects.

Robust analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to provide a systematic review of policy/process/practice and develop logical implementation plans which secure the buy-in of key stakeholders.

Effective stakeholder management skills with the ability to positively influence senior management teams across SLC and work collaboratively with the wider People Directorate.

Significant experience and knowledge in Employee Relations and the application of UK Employment Law, including the ability to support complex employee relations casework, including Employment Tribunals.

Educated to Degree level with a Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent qualification/experience.
